Black Pumpkins!
To go with my sparkly pumpkins I made some black ones! Same process, except that this time I did something that I should have done with the sparkly ones. I primed them first! The paint stuck so much better and looks much more even all the way around. Lesson learned, always prime stuff first! Anyways, so the steps are simple and the same as before.
See how even the paint looks?!! I promise I'm done with pumpkins for a while. Thanksgiving crafts will be coming soon!
- Buy cheap foam pumpkins
- Buy Primer (preferably one that is black)
- Buy Black spray paint
- Put pumpkins on sticks in a box (or floral foam, the ground or whatever floats your boat)
- Prime first, spray black paint, seal with a clear coat. (sealer is optional, I chose to do it because I already had some from before and because I want these pumpkins to last)

Sparkly Pumpkins!!
I love sparkles and I'm not ashamed to admit it. So when I saw a picture of sparkly pumpkins on a crafty blog a while back I decided that this Halloween I would make a couple! Naturally they will also make an appearance at my party but I'm not sure where yet. Anyways, here is a quick tutorial but it's really pretty straight forward. Buy cheap fake pumpkin, cover in glitter spray paint and then cover in a clear sealer to keep all the pretty sparkles on it.
I got my pumpkins from the dollar store because I'm not about to pay $15 for a fake pumpkin at Michael's or Joann's. Not that I'm against those stores, I love them! I'm a gold member at Michael's for goodness sake! I'm just against paying too much for stuff I'll only use once a year.
Moving on, I used Krylon Glitter Blast spray paint which is more expensive than I normally buy but it was the only kind I could find. It was $8 a bottle at Michael's and buying it directly from Krylon would have taken way too long because I'm pretty impatient. So I sucked it up and bought a couple bottles. They only come in a small 5oz size so you will most likely need at least two to do anything more than one pumpkin. Even after two bottles one of my pumpkins could still use another coat.
First step is to put your pumpkins on little sticks and then spray paint the crap out of them! On my first pumpkin I didn't use the stick idea and I ended up spray painting my hand.
End result looks like this!! The sealant did a pretty good job at keeping the sparkles from rubbing off on stuff so I'm happy with it.

Then use a CLEAR sealant to keep the pretty glitter on the pumpkins!

Halloween Monster Part Two!
Since there are going to be lots of kids at this party I figured they wouldn't want to wait and take turns trying to pin the eyes/mouth on one little monster. As a result of this I decided to make several monsters and put them all on a poster board so that a couple kids can go at a time.
So I picked up a cheap poster board from the 99 Cent store and decorated it with some grass, a moon and some stars and then hot glued the monsters on to the board. This craft is super easy and hopefully it works out really well. We'll see how it goes! Anyways here is a picture of the board all completed, I didn't make a tutorial because it's pretty self explanatory. Files for the monster outlines and eyes are available to download in the Holiday Tab.
The monsters are supposed to be playing in a field. I'm thinking about doing a pumpkin patch as well but we'll see how that goes.

Halloween Monster Part One!
I am a crafty blog stalker and during one of my latest stalking sessions at one of my all time favorite crafty blogs I came across this darling idea for a game! It's kind of like pin the tail on the donkey but with monsters! For the original post you can see it here.
This is only part one of my plan however. I am going to get a big poster board and put a bunch of little monsters and jack'o'lanterns on it so that it can be played by lots of kiddos at once. For the time being though here is a quick tutorial on how to make the monster! (File to be uploaded to the holiday tab soon)
So first I printed out the outline of the monster that I made up. Second is that I printed off all the eyes and mouths that the kids will be "pinning" on the monsters/pumpkins. I made WAY too many mouths on accident becauseI just like to be prepared I am silly.
Third get some crepe paper or streamers to make your monster all fluffy! I just used the streamers I found in the dollar store and it worked fine. I picked yellow and green to give it some depth and because it looks super cute! Roll out both colors into equal length strips and then hot glue them together. I strongly suggest using hot glue for this project, Elmer's glue has been letting me down as of late so I am breaking up with Mr. Elmer and leaving him for Mr. Glue Gun! After you glue the strips together fold them in half lengthwise, then cut to size to fit your little monster and glue to the paper. Here is some pictures of what it looks like in progress.

Easy Peasy Halloween Banner!
I love banners! I think they are a nice easy way to make a big statement. Sometimes when my dad would go away on business trips for a long time, my mom would let us make a big banner on a huge roll of butcher paper and it was so much fun. This banner is not a huge welcome home banner and it doesn't make a huge statement but instead this one shows an attention to detail and is fun to boot!
I will put this banner and a couple other banners under the Holiday tab so you can download it and do it yourself!
****Side Note if you send this file somewhere else to be printed, double check that they have the right font. I didn't do this and they changed my font to just a plain old block font which I did not want since this is a Halloween Party!! It looked like this:

Paper Pinwheel Banner
I really liked the way the paper pinwheels turned out so I decided to make the other pinwheel craft that I saw on a craft blog which sadly I can't find again. So if the owner of that blog happens to read this I'm really sorry and I'm not trying to steal your idea or call it my own idea.
That being said here is a quick tutorial on how to make the banner!
First I got some wooden clothespins and modge podged some Halloween themed paper on top of them. I didn't take pictures of that process because it is pretty straight forward. When they're done they look like this:
Secondly I made four more pinwheels following the tutorial I previously posted about. Two of them were large ones and the other two were smaller. I again used the whole puncher to make a cute circle to cover up the not so pretty part in the middle where all the little fans meet.
Third glue the ribbon to the back of the large pinwheels and then attach the clothespins. For the party I will be using the clothespins to pin up some family pictures but you could use them to pin up whatever you wish. This is also easy to do for any other occasion, just use a different themed paper/ribbon.
The end result looks like this (please ignore my messy table):
